STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

If an electric stove will not start, ensure the stove is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the stove is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning, it means a different part of the oven will need to be fixed. The cause of the issue might be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner that does not heat won’t do much good. Your oven will not heat if there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner doesn’t fire up when an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is reasonable to assume the control board on a stove is broken if the program or timer functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we know how to repair control boards for Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and the parts we need for this stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the heat is too hot, it might be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our technicians can find the location of the issue and repair it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is when an igniter glows but will not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We determine whether we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning types of ovens are known to experience door problems often. The door will not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to identify why the door doesn’t open up and then we complete the necessary repair in order to fix the problem.
